How many of you remember what it was like before the internet? When you would call a local BBS (Bulletin Board System). I am trying to get back into those old days. Back then I ran a few BBSes here locally in Clarksville, TN. I ran one on a Commodore 64, then a 128 then an Amiga 500. Right now I am playing around with an Amiga emulator to see if I can place back up my old BBS again.
Back then you had to call these boards with your modem and dial-up. Today you can connect to them with the internet and telnet. There are still many boards still up, and if your interested in connecting to a few, and need help. Just let me know.
This is just a fun way of communication. The old way! |

Well, if you want to see what it was like, I got a BBS set up. You will have to use Telnet to connect to it. Telnet comes with Windows, but not all the time its installed. Here is a link for more information on telnet...
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... -questions
Then, when you have telnet installed on your computer, just type this into your web browser...
